Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh is the capital and largest city of Cambodia. Known for its beautiful temples, historical landmarks, modern buildings, and bustling streets, Phnom Penh is the heart of Cambodia's politics, economy, and culture. Many tourists visit this city to enjoy diverse experiences.
Key attractions in Phnom Penh include the Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, Mekong River waterfront, and the Software Park. Moreover, the city streets are filled with local restaurants, shops, and markets, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the local culture.

Siem Reap

Siem Reap is a major city in northwestern Cambodia, renowned for being the gateway to the famous Angkor region. Influenced by colonialism, Siem Reap boasts a mix of Old French Quarter architecture and Chinese-style buildings around the Old Market area. The city is home to museums, traditional Apsara dance performances, Cambodian cultural villages, souvenir shops, silk farms, rice fields, rural villages, and bird sanctuaries near the Tonle Sap Lake.
Today, Siem Reap is emerging as a popular tourist destination, with numerous hotels, resorts, restaurants, and businesses closely related to travel. Especially notable is the Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Cambodia's most famous tourist attraction.

Boarding Guide

1. Issue E-ticket

A number of options are available to issue a E-ticket.
Get your E-ticket through online website or KakaoTalk channel.

2. Arrive at the terminal

Check-in closes 1 hour before flight departure. Please arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before departure and complete check-in.

3. Drop off baggage

Check baggage at airport counter.

4. Security Check

Security screening is conducted on passengers in order to ensure the safety of travelers and aircraft.
Passengers must undergo immigration screening by presenting their valid travel documents (passport, etc.).
Passengers who are subject to customs declaration, military duties, or quarantine inspection must report to the respective agencies prior to their departure.

5. Boarding

Please have your boarding pass and passport ready prior to boarding.
Boarding starts 45 minutes before flight departure and closes 15 minutes before departure.
Please be ready at the gate before boarding starts to ensure an on-time departure.
Proceed to board in the order announced.

Note

Pursuant to government notice, emergency exit rows seats may be assigned only to physically able passengers over 18 years of age capable of understanding cabin crew instructions and assisting other passengers in exiting the aircraft.
Please inquire at the time of your check-in for more information.

What to Prepare

Passport

Your passport must have at least 1 page remaining and be valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival in Cambodia. Please ensure your passport before traveling.

Flight ticket

Some countries may require return or onward flight tickets for entry. Please prepare a copy of your e-ticket in advance.

VISA

Applying for a Cambodia visa

  • What you need to apply for a visa to Cambodia
  • A passport that is valid for at least another three to 6(six) months and has at least one blank page.
  • A passport-size photo
  • Visa Fee : Tourist visa 30.00USD or Ordinary Visa 35.00USD

Passengers may be refused check-in for their flights if they fail to present required travel documents. Korean Air will not be held liable for any expenses or damages incurred under the Terms of Carriage.

Where to apply for a Cambodian visa

  • At the airport
    - If you’re from most countries, you can get a visa on arrival at both of the Cambodian international airports, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, and Sihanoukville. You’ll be given the paperwork on the plane, and you just need to get in line on arrival with your passport photos, cash (in US dollars), and passport.
  • At a Cambodian embassy
    If you prefer to get your visa in advance–or if you are from Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, or Sudan–you’ll need to visit the closest Cambodian embassy in your home country.
  • Online the E-visa
    One other option is the Cambodian E-visa, which can be obtained online. It is only available to citizens of the same countries for which visas on arrival are available (that is, everyone except citizens of Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, and Sudan). It is only offered for the tourist (T class) visa and costs an extra 7USD on top of the regular visa fees, and it is only available to those entering Cambodia at the Siem Reap and Phnom Penh airports and the Bavet, Poipet, and Cham Yeam land border crossings. Types of Cambodia visas

Cambodian Tourist Visa
  • Cambodian Tourist Visa. The tourist visa (T class) is the best for those who know they will be staying 30 days or less.
  • The 30-day tourist visa is available to travelers in advance or on arrival (for most nationalities) for a cost of 30USD.
  • The tourist visa can be renewed once for an additional 30 days for a fee of 45USD.
  • After that, tourist visa holders must leave Cambodia and come back and obtain a new visa.
Cambodian Ordinary Visa.
(=business visa)
  • For anyone who is considering staying in Cambodia for an extended period of time.
  • It does not confer the right to work in Cambodia. In order to be legally employed, you will need a Cambodia work permit.
  • Validation: 30 days
  • Cost: 35USD
  • can be extended indefinitely.
  • extend it for 6 or 12 months: visa types are multiple-entry.
  • The 1 and 3 month ordinary visas: single-entry only. If you leave for a weekend trip to Vietnam, you’ll need to get a new Cambodian visa when you return.

It’s important to note that if you are planning on getting a visa on arrival, some airlines will not allow you to enter the country on a one-way ticket.
